Wolf Point West by bKL Architecture

The Cliff Dwellers in collaboration with the Friends of Downtown are pleased to present another lecture on Projects by Chicago Architects: bKL Architecture Presents Wolf Point West - A new 500-foot residential tower on a site where the north, south and east branches of the Chicago River converge. 

Wolf Point West: This 500-foot-tall residential project rises 48 stories from one of the most prominent sites on the Chicago River. The location gives residents unparalleled views of the city, river and lakefront, while making a highly visible addition to the riverfront skyline.

The project includes approximately 510 rental units and is composed of a series of layered planes that form the building’s massing. Its slender, elegant profile is anchored on the riverbank by lush landscaping and its parking garage is concealed below grade.

Inset balconies and a careful composition of vision and opaque glass—as well as three dimensional, horizontal bands of aluminum tubes—lend the façade texture and interest. The amenity levels and exterior deck provide enhanced interior and exterior living throughout all seasons.  Designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification, this project exemplifies bKL’s commitment to reduced use of natural resources.

Additional Info: The door and bar open at 5:30. A buffet dinner will be served at 6:15 with the program thereafter. The price per person for dinner is $25 and the program that follows is free. Payment for dinner and charges at the bar is by credit card only, or by a charge to a member’s House Account.
